Description : Road Ride
Start Location : Nepean Sportsplex
Start Time : 8:00 AM Departure - gather 7:30 -- 7:45
Heading south.
The "unpaved" sections in the A & B rides, as registered in RWGPS (2nd line north from Roger Stephens), appear to be paved.
A gentle reminder: when you sign up for a distance and speed, please be 99% confident that you will be able to meet the mark and stay with the group. If your confidence is below 99%, please select a less challenging ride. We are a "no drop" club, but that policy works well only when riders realize their capacity and all groups are able to have a good ride, within the advertised parameters.
The only real variation on this, that I can think of, might be if you are intentionally challenging your personal limits and have agreed with the group that you will accept being dropped and see yourself home if you aren't able to keep up. This sort of thing is really only a consideration for advanced riders and is exceptional.
Note, too, that if you aren't feeling great when you show up the morning of, you can change to a less taxing group; that's not a problem.

Merrickville.

Second stop could be the Ultramar on Roger Stevens Dr, just off piste.
B (101 km, 417 m elevation gain)
Kemptville. Toilets in the park**. The Crusty Bakers ought to be open, just around the corner.
Additional stops could be in Manotick or, slightly off piste, the Ultramar on Roger Stevens Dr (straight ahead 1km at km74.5).

C (79 km, 473 m elevation gain)
Rideau River Park, toilets and a break by the river. Suggest a coffee stop at the Ultramar in Kars on the return. If it's open, you could also stop at Mulligan's grocery in North Gower, heading south, to obtain picnic supplies.
D (54 km, 311 m elevation gain)
Barrhaven, via Cedarview & Manotick. Suggest a coffee stop in Manotick.
