Gravel Ride - Ashton-Gillies Petit - WX RESCHEDULED


Ashton-Gillies Petit [Beckwith] - The route takes the Beckwith trail from end to end to get to the outskirts of Carleton Place, where it heads south on the Ottawa Valley Rail Trail. From here, the western section of the route includes a mix of gravel and quiet paved roads along with a twisty section of forested gravel road.

Ashton-Gillies Petit [Beckwith] (64 km, 269 m elevation gain)

Non-technical gravel and limited elevation gains, this loop provides an easy introduction to gravel for anyone transitioning from road riding. But it does have the fun of the Beckwith forest trail... a meandering hiking and cycling trail.

Surface: Pavement, hardpack, and light gravel.

Details: 64.8km in length with 305m climb and 80% unpaved; minimum 32mm tires recommended.
