About the event
This is a rescheduling of the rained-out Sept 9 ride, from the March Road Metro, heading west of the city as far as Golden Line Road, returning via the TransCanada Trail to Stittsville for a coffee stop. Then back to the start point via roads - given that the trails we originally planned to use remain damaged from the Canada Day storm.
This route includs a short stretch of gravel on Old Almonte Road as well as a more lengthy run along the TCT, which has a good, hard-packed gravel surface. Road bikes should work just fine on this route, though gravel bikes would also work well.
Note that the starting point is only accessible from March Road, notwithstanding the store's address on Carling Ave,

Metro and west (70 km, 406 m elevation gain)
Join us for a relaxed 70k ride west of the city from the March Road Metro, with a stop for refreshments in Stittsville (53k). This ride will use a combination of roads (including about 2k of gravel) and well-maintained rail trails, heading as far west as Golden Line Rd.
Note that the start point is only accessible from March Road, notwithstanding the store’s address on Carling.
