Sunday Ride

This ride is weather and interest-dependent. As of Saturday, Oct 24, interest is holding -- particularly the A crowd! -- and the forecast is looking very fine!

If you had a favourite Sunday ride from Gatineau, this year, and would like a repeat, drop me a line and tell me what it was; I'll start planning the rides on Monday, Oct 26th.

Note that the Gats parkways will be closed to cars for the Winter as of Oct 25th, end of day. So, if the weather is good, why not finish the day (the season?) with a pedal on the parkways?

Start Location : Lac des Fées parking (near P3), GATINEAU

Start Time : 10:00 AM Departure - gather 9:30 -- 9:45

REMINDER: In Quebec, it is single-file only!

REMINDER: Quebec law requires that bikes have reflectors!

Periodically, I hear stories of cyclists being pulled over and issued with very expensive fines for not having needed reflectors. Buy some reflective tape of the needed colours. I will try to remember to bring some reflective bits and pieces that I have on-hand to hand out to the needy (but it's not my responsibility to outfit your bike!).

REMiNDER: Gatineau Park is open to traffic from noon on. If the leaves are colourful, expect a lot of traffic. Ride safely and defensively.
