About the event

Carleton-Almonte Promenade - Head out of Carleton Place on the Ottawa Valley Rail rail trail, and the TransCanada Trail. Ride by the river through picturesque Appleton, then on gravel through farmland and scenic roads on the edge of the Lanark Highlands. Return to Carleton Place on the picturesque Quarry Road.

Surface: no unmaintained or rough sections. Pavement, hardpack, rail-trails, and light gravel.

Details: 58km in length with 341m climb and 64% unpaved; minimum 32mm tires recommended.

Optional stop in Almonte for Coffee or Ice Cream.
