Ride Leader Training #5

In preparation for the 2025 cycling season, the OBC is seeking interest from past, present and future ride leaders.  

What exactly is a ride leader? A ride leader’s role on group rides is to promote cycling safety and to lead/navigate small groups (no more than 10-12 riders) safely from point A to point B with the support of all other group ride participants. 

What are the benefits of volunteering to be a ride leader? Being an ambassador for the OBC, having control over your preferred ride style, earning the coveted red OBC jersey, invitations to ride leader-specific events, and being part of a supportive community.  

How are ride leaders supported by the OBC? Ride leader training and tools will be offered by the OBC on select dates starting in early April 2025.
